Adult 6 Week Course - Thursdays - September/October

Over this six week course I will take you through all the processes of mold making and slip casting. Slip casting is a technique where a liquid clay body, slip, is poured into plaster moulds and allowed to form a layer, the cast, on the inside walls of the mould. It gives very precise and consistent shapes, and is now the most common technique used for commercial mass-produced pottery.

During this course you will make a mould for a standard shape bowl and cup. Once we have the moulds made you can make them your own through carving and decoration at different stages of the process.

Classes will take place on Thursday at 7pm until 8.30pm.
